Philip L. Frana is Associate Professor of Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies and Director of Undergraduate Research at the University of Central Arkansas. He has taught interdisciplinary Honors seminars on robotics, artificial intelligence, and society; art and technology, science, computing, and the law; virtual worlds and ludology; online communities and technology in education; and the future of work, economy, and education in the context of automation. He has also taught courses on research and writing across the disciplines. Frana's training is in the history of technology, science, and medicine, and particularly the computing sciences in the 20th and 21st centuries. He is also the team leader for the wiki Little Rock Renaissance, which documents revitalization efforts in the Little Rock Metro Area. The wiki began life as an electronic textbook supplement to his oral history methods class, but has now grown to more than 3,000 entries.
