It is permissible to convert numbers into percentages (or the metric system, or the American system, or other orders of magnitude). If a controversy arises, however, it might be smart to include the original measurement to satisfy both parties. --CrypticC62 · Talk 17:37, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
I analyze this situation as a threat towards AppleButtEr. RunOff has threatened the user by threatening to block AppleButtEr, which isn't right. I agree that the best idea would be to convert the numbers into percentages, as this would not not be against WP:OR as long as it is referenced. I don't think that this would violation of WP:SYNTH. ApplebuttEr should report this admin.Izzy007Talk May 27 2008.
Since there is a largely accepted theory about how to convert into percentage per reliable sources, ApplwButtEr is right. Pie is good(Apple is the best) 00:10, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
I don't agree a chart is needed but comparing likel to like seems permissible. -- Banjeboi 11:08, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
RunOff's assertion that coverting numbers into percentages is original research is frankly ridiculous. You might as well say that changing the wording of a statement in a source so as to make it fit within the tone (or anything else) of an article is original research.
