Moein-al-tojjar house edit
The moein-al-tojjar house is one of the most valuable and regardant buildings in the old texture of Ahvaz, which is belongs to the famous merchant HAJ MOHAMMAD TAGHI MOEIN-AL-TOJJAR.it is built in the period of NASER ALDIN SHAH majesty.
Haj Mohamad taghi was a famous merchant living in shoushtar city who was originally from Bushehr that's why this place was also known as bushehri moein-al-tojjar.
After granting the concession of shipping to United Kingdom government, he established a commerce company named Naseri for shipping in karoun river and then he constructed some sort of building which is included his own office, bathhouse, bazaar and a mosque in Naseri port. this antiquity has been recorded as a national heritage in 1377.

This caravansary is located beside the white bridge and in the old texture of the city in the east coast of karoun. there are wholesale stores and granaries in the south part of the building.
Architecture edit
When you enter the house the first impressive point u see is a veranda that is built in all around the courtyard. In this house, we can see decorations such as elliptical arches, ghajar arches and.... The house is inspired by European architecture in designing arches and coverage. The entrance of moein-al-tojjar is from the south that starts with a porch. Indeed, after passing a façade, they could enter the porch. The house was constructed to be introvert and it has a cortile or patio. Southern side: The southern side includes entrance door, porch, and rooms with triples doors . These rooms where actually the bedrooms of the house. architect has used the golden rule of scales for designing this fantastic caravanserai. The remarkable point about these rooms is that the uncovered area has not entered into the rooms.
Northern side: This side is included more and more beautiful triple doors which there are corridors beside them. These rooms were for the members of the family.
Eastern side: The eastern side of caravansary is included rooms with quintuplet doors. That's where the alcove (?) is and it's also connected to the kitchen. At the entrance of eastern side, there's a stairway that is connected to the second floor. lavatory (WC) is located in front of it. In this part we haven both light spot and something like heater but it was into the texture of the walls.
Western side: In western side, there was cereal granary for winter and other seasons.
