Mukt - The Band

edit

Mukt is an Indian fusion rock band formed in Ahmedabad in 2017 by 3 engineering college drop-outs Tarun Gagdekar, Udit Bhavsar, and Dhaval Yadav. The band specializes in recreating timeless poetic creations by different artists and presenting them through fusion rock music.[1] The musical style of Mukt can be defined as a mixture of rock, fusion, and progressive rock genres, with lyrics ranging from philosophy, dark sarcasm and patriotism to romanticism. [2]

The band has 5 band members, Tarun Gagdekar (Vocals & Guitar), Udit Bhavsar (Vocals & Guitar), Dhaval Yadav (Percussions), Yash Joshi (Drums) and Daidipya Sheth (Bass Guitar). Mukt has gone through few changes in its formation since the formation, with their bass guitarist Raag Jadav leaving the band in 2019.[3] The band released its first Album ‘Jogi’ (hyperlink) in 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdown by raising crowdfunding.
