Hello this is Erwin Knopfler, I was born in Renfrewshire, Scotland to an English mother and a Austrian Jewish father. My family first moved to Scotland, but then settled in home town of Newcastle. I am a student of social science in College of Social Science - MSU. I like reading, editing and traveling.My primary areas of interest are politics and government, law, history, and automotive/transportation. These interests are not often reflected in my contributions, as I am often heavily involved in site maintenance and article polishing.

I have been away from vigorous participation in Wikipedia for quite a while although I never stopped using it as a resource. Recently I have again with this alternative userid, become interested in helping out a lot more, and plan to put in much more in my spare time. I concentrate a lot on tracking down, reverting, and preventing vandalism, but I also try to make many proactive contributions, such as creating new pages, overhauling and wikfying the recent ones, adding images, and generally providing a smoother user experience.
