I am writer and communications consultant who works with several nonprofits and health institutions. Formerly a journalist, I have written for newspapers such as "The Washington Post," "The Wall Street Journal," and "The Boston Globe." After the fall of Communism, I also lived in Prague for several years and worked as columnist for "The Prague Post," and as a foreign correspondent, covering business stories related to Central Europe's growing market-based economy. I also lived in Spain, Boston, Washington DC, and Chicago. I currently reside in New York, and have a particular interest in Canada and Finland, which is where the majority of my family is based. I enjoy traveling, and learning about different languages and cultures. I have traveled to more than 30 countries, and I enjoy going " off the beaten path" to have more authentic experiences. I am fluent in Spanish, and have a great passion for the Finnish and Czech languages.
