Hello there!
I'm a young medical student. I discovered wikipedia as an editor not so long ago, by taking up the habit of adding redirects for synonymous names of diseases or conditions that are on wikipedia under another name. Articles I'd like to help improve are mostly in wikiprojects medicine and anatomy. Although I have a broad scope of interest outside medicine, my knowledge and access to sources is nowhere near as large there, except maybe in select areas of fantasy fiction.
While I'm eager to contribute to this great resource, I'm a bit confused about the policies (in particular wp:copyrights and plagiarism, as well as reliable sources in medicine) and worried that I might do something wrong or offensive to other editors. I also still have some trouble with the markup. For these reasons and others, I've asked to be mentored.
