If you often use Wikipedia in 2 or more languages probably you search directly from the browser's search bar with the search engine plug-in offered in each Wikipedia version every time you visit it (if you haven't installed it yet). This saves time and makes searches more comfortable. If you use Firefox or Internet Explorer (last versions) these plug-ins come with an icon.

The problem is that this icon is the same for all the versions of Wikipedia: it's the favicon of the encyclopedia, made of a W in black-and-white (http://en.wikipedia.org/favicon.ico). It's happened to me many times that I've tried to search for something in the Wikipedia version in one language and in the end I've looked for in other version of the encyclopedia, with the corresponding confusion and waste of time.

Now I don't have that problem any more because I've personalized the icons: I have them with a small colour flag below the W. If you want to have this I tell you how (it's very easy) (only works with Firefox):

Wikipedia in English edit

Click on the selected search icon and then in "Manage Search Engines..." (at bottom)
Click on Wikipedia (en), then on Remove and then on OK
Click with the middle button of the mouse on this link (if the mouse only has 2 buttons you can hold the CTRL (Control) key while clicking with the left button (left-handed: right); or click with the right button (left-handed: left) and then with the left one (left-handed: right) on "Open Link in New Window" or on "Open Link in New Tab")
From the just opened window or tab, click on the selected search icon and then on "Add "Wikipedia (en)""

(optional)

Click on the selected search icon and then in "Manage Search Engines..." (at bottom)
Move Wikipedia (en) to the desired position (dragging with the mouse is quicker than clicking on the buttons "Move Up" amd "Move Down") and click on OK

Wikipedia in Spanish edit

Take the same steps than in the English version, but instead of clicking on that link click on this one. Where up states "Wikipedia (en)" in this case it should be taken into account "Wikipedia (es)".
