United States gubernatorial elections, 2010 edit

I restored Rich Whitney to the 2010 Illinois gubernatorial race section. Whitney is a notable candidate in the race due to his 2006 results and the fact the race is considered by several sources to lean democrat rather then be a safe seat. Whitney could very easily heavily impact the race in a major way. There are also several states where third parties have in recent history played or are expected to play a major viable role in the election including but not limited to Maine, Minnesota, an most recently Illinois. No Cover-up edit

Why am I automatically guilty without explanation? I'm being honest, which is more than rockyobody, thorburn, the ips or you can say. Please tell me why I was accused without anyone saying anything to me, I found out about the accusations when I clicked on my page at the top. I am probably going to have to report to an admin because it is not fair to me since I have done nothing wrong. Eaglesfan619 (talk) 21:14, 11 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

I didn't accuse you of being a sockpuppet of Rockyobody, but having had a quick look at your edit history it looks like it is quite possible that you are. When you edited the investigation page to remove yourself from the list of suspected sockpuppets and removed the notice from your page it just made you look guilty. If you are a legitimate user then you should just wait to see what comes of the investigation rather than remove things. JimRDJones (talk) 21:22, 11 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
You are not automatically guilty without explanation. The opening of a case is done on the basis of suspicion, not on a judgement. You should present the evidence on the case page. The case is looked at by uninvolved admins and clerks so if you have done nothing wrong you have nothing to worry about from it. Just explain calmly what you have and have not done. There is no requirement for you to be informed separately from the case being opened, the automatic userpage message is for that purpose. Mfield (talk) 21:27, 11 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
