EPRN

Economic Policy Research Network (EPRN) was created in 2008 with the aim to strengthen economic policy analysis and research capacities. This was initiated by different partners, namely the Institute of Policy Analysis and Research - Rwanda (IPAR), the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning (MINECOFIN), the Central Bank of Rwanda (BNR), the National Institute of Statistics (INSR - NSIR), the World Bank (Rwanda office), and the University of Rwanda. Apart from these founding members, EPRN was supported financially from the African Capacity Building Fund (ACBF), UNECA, and GIZ.

EPRN is an equal opportunity economic policy research platform in Rwanda bringing together researchers and analysts working in economic policy, poverty reduction and related fields in order to create a network for the stakeholders in the field and a pool of research skills needed for economic policy analysis in Rwanda. EPRN helps to build capacity through organising trainings on quantitative research methods, research coaching and mentorship, work placements, learning tours and joint research projects to support the provision of evidence for economic policy formulation and policy research development. EPRN therefore responds to economic policy gaps created mainly by lack of quality and informative research and the challenge of human capacity in terms of limited numbers of economic researchers and active involvement.http://www.eprnrwanda.org/about-us/who-we-are
