Dironir (D-RO) Zarro

Dironir Varina Zarro most known as "_D-RO" was born in Leamington Ontario on the 29th of March 1991. When he was about 2 months of age he moved with his parents to a town in Portugal (Nazare) where he was raised until he was 13 years old He started singing when he was about 13 at his parents old bar with 2 of his friends back in 2003, they formed a hip hop group called "South Village", a few months later Diro went to UK to study because at the time his mother was working there after his parents got divorced, months later he started his small carrer as a solo artist. He made is first mixtape back in 2004 called "The Beginning" was 14 tracks all in Portuguese. When he finished year 11 in 2006 he went back to Portugal and started to make some new music but this time in english. In 2 years he made 3 mixtapes called "this is how i do", " have a dream" & "Shawty's got moves" addicted to music he wanted to make more and more tracks to show people a bit of his skills for music. In 2008 he went back to UK to study music at ACM (Academy of Contemporary Music" thats where he got inspired and learned vocals & production, finishing his first diploma he had to do 2 more but hard times came and he got into a phase of depression/panic attacks & anxiety wich made him give up his study's and go back to portugal to live with his grandparents. After almost 1 year without singing or making music he came back strong with a brand new mixtape wich he called "Nervous System" was sort of a relieve after what happen in the past, confident he started to do shows all over portugal places like: Ponto N, Stress Less, Kapital Lisbon, Bla Bla, Nafta, Beat Club, Queima das fitas Leiria & his favourite show at Nazare Beach Party for over 30 000 people. He was starting to get some buzz but still was unknown on the big market. In 2009 he released an album with another rapper (Strata G) called "Insonia" made in Portuguese & English, he use to play in the streets just because e wanted to feel where the true music came from. In 2010 he made another mixtape called "Words of expression" an album he never released because he made it just for him to listen to it and in 2011 he got called to do featurings with artist like Valete, Richie Campbell, Fubu Beatbox, Swat, Francisco Moreira etc. Was a good experience to work with so many different artists with so many different types of music and thats where he came up with this idea of making trying to make his own style of music called "Jah Rappin" wich is a fusion of Reggae/R&B/Rap all into one. After so many experiences he released his last album in 2011 called "New Start" wich is the best album he ever made.
