•Interact with customers / sales staff to initiate designs.
•Understand customer products & challenges in marketplace.
•Accompany sales personnel on design-related meetings when needed.
•Develop & communicate design ideas for customer approval.
•Review client supplied files for accuracy, checking to making sure the files are stripped up to the correct cad structure, color break are setup correctly, verify all fonts are included, resolution and color also adjusting bleeds for production.
•Develop distribution & in-store setup instruction sheets for displays.
•Develop PowerPoint presentations.
•Digitally record display setup instruction, edit and burn to disc.
•Photograph product shots & digitally archive files in an asset management site.
•Generate display mock-ups (prepare files, print, laminate and cut out sample).
•Maintaining Macintosh and IBM systems and keeping software up to date.
•Communicate with production staff to ascertain design feasibility.
•Work with outside suppliers/ vendors as require.
•Initiate action to prevent problems, document quality problems, contribute solutions to problems, verify implementation of solutions & control further processing when a problem is identified.
•Keeping work area clean & well organized. Maintain, organize & update records for easy refernce.
