I am willing to consider self-requested blocks if editors meet my criteria. In part, this means only for established editors (more than a few months here) who are of sound mind and can articulate a reason for the self-block. I will not unblock you once you are blocked, and any account you create after you are blocked will be treated like any other sockpuppet, so do not ask unless you are really and willing to leave Wikipedia forever. Typically, I will blank user pages and delete sub pages as well.

If at some time in the future, you decide to try to come back, it will have to be requested to another admin via email as I will also block talk page access. I reserve the right to oppose your coming back at a WP:AN discussion. Obviously, this is a decision you shouldn't make lightly and should only be done if you are truly never coming back. I will ask questions first, may change my criteria at that time, and reserve the right to refuse to block anyone, with or without a rationale.

If you still want to be blocked after reading this, you need to make a public request on my talk page. If you decide to discuss further via email, that is fine. More than likely, I will ask you to email me and have a conversation, so we can both be sure you fully understand the ramifications of a self-block, and I may suggest other options if appropriate.

I will post something similar to this template on your user and talk pages, and protect them.
