I am a Pueblo Indian woman, tribally enrolled at Nambe Pueblo, in northern New Mexico. I was on the faculty in American Indian Studies at the University of Illinois for seven years (through August 2011) and am currently working on a Master's in Library and Information Science at San Jose State University.
The focus of my research, teaching, and writing is on the ways that American Indians are represented in children's books and media.
