Moken House Moken people are an astronesian people that live around coastal area in Myanmar and Thailand . The Moken is a group of fishermen who derive from the Proto Malay that have been drifting around in the Andaman Sea for more than 100 years [1]

Architecture style are different and adapt to coastal area , they use bamboo for the structure , floor , door , etc. and palm leaf for wall and roof , some are use bamboo for whole building and use palm leaf for roof to build their house in the beach and sea.

After Tsunami In 26 of December 2004 , Indian Ocean Tsunami cause a lot of death and damage in the South of Thailand , including Ranong , Phang Nga , Phuket , Krabi , Trang , Satun . The Thai government reported 4,812[3] confirmed deaths, 8,457[3] injuries, and 4,499[3] missing after the country was hit by a tsunami caused by the Indian Ocean earthquake [3] Some are emigrate and settle down in the land area that higher than tsunami effect for example Phang Nga that they locate their village on Hill .[2]

The building style and material are changed. They use pattern weaved for wall , structure are changed to hardwood for more durable , roof change to factory made roof tile and some use traditional palm leaf. The weaved wall are eco material because its let wind flow into the building and it’s keep the building cool.
