Hello,

My name is Christopher Daniel Wasson. My parents are Fred and Kaye Colmenero. I was created in Pasadena, Texas. I had an adventurous childhoold with close friends, Daryl and Clayton. I grew up in a Christian fundamentalist church. I went to Bible School at Christ for the Nations in Dallas, Texas. As part of that 2 year program, I went to Brazil as a missionary in 1992 for 6 months before I decided that Christianity, as I knew it, was bull-shit.

After that realization, I attended Blinn Community College in Bellville, Texas for two years before transfering to UCLA. At UCLA, I returned to Brazil and studied for a year at PUC-Rio for a year and starting gathering information about the MST. Particularly formative was hearing Sabastian Salgadon talk about his work, Terra, in April 2007. I returned to the states, graduated, worked a Habitat for Humanity in North Hollywood for a year, married, and went to Law School at Berkeley where I wrote a paper on the legal aspects of the MST's struggle. As part of that project, I returned to Brasil for the 2002 World Social Forum, then completed a week long intership at an MST settlement in Parana. The highlight of the week was sitting in a 5 X 5 cell and scrapping the honey off of boxes bees had planted their honey in. I'm scaired shitless of bees, but my companions taught me to trust. I wasn't stung once, although the buzz of the bees around me was deafening.

I'm now an attorney at a labor side employment firm and am expecting my first child in a matter of days, if not hours. My wife's name is Sarah, and she works for the Federal Trade Commission doing consumer protection work, like enforcing the "do not call" list. Look into signing up. It works. Also, you have a right to get one free credit report per year. Not a bad idea to make sure noone has stolen your identity.
