Why? edit

I use Wikipedia a lot, so I add to it a bit. That's how it got here isn't it.

What? edit

I tend to create articles when I find something missing that I'm interested in, and frequently get drawn into improving related articles. I also find it hard to pass by spelling and grammar mistakes in random articles I stumble across without correcting them.

Articles created edit

I've created articles about a strange mixture of things, for example:[1]

A list of articles I haven't created yet, but might, can be found here.[2]

Articles expanded edit

Other contributions worth mentioning:[3]

Pictures edit

The various pictures tend to things I've hurriedly snapped with my little Sony DSC-T1. When it comes to pictures, I lean more towards quantity than quality, so if anyone wants to replace the pictures I've used in articles with better ones, I won't be offended.

Spam edit

I don't like it. Nobody likes it. We'd rather eat the tinned stuff all day long than read your clumsy attempts to promote whatever nonsense you're peddling today. If I see it I delete it, and if I can't see it, I go hunting for it.[4]

Who? edit

There is an article about me at Ciaran Gultnieks, but as far as writing computer games goes, I don't do that shit any more. I mention it purely so you can go and vandalise it if I've enraged you by removing your spam or having the audacity to post a vandalism warning on your talk page.

When? edit

Minor edits are generally when I'm waiting for the current bane of my life, Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, to do my bidding. For those not familiar with its appalling performance on largish projects, pressing cursor down can keep you waiting long enough to perform several vandalism reverts. Larger edits, when I get time, or all too often according to my wife.

Where? edit

You must be a dedicated stalker to have read this far down the page, so I'll make it fun for you. Plot a point on a map of the UK for each geographic article I've edited. Draw lines from every point to every other point. I'm at the place where most of those lines intersect. Probably.
