History edit

  1. Intellec 4 released in 1972? for testing the 4004.
  2. Intellec 8 released in 1972? for testing the 8008. It retailed at $2,395. [1]
  3. Intel released Intellec 4/40 and 8/80 in 1974 for developing on the Intel [[Intel 4040}4040]] and 8080, respectively.

Early Intellecs edit

The Intellec 4, 4 MOD 40, 8, and 8 MOD 80 all contained basically the same hardware, differing mostly in the particular processor used.

Intellec 4:

4K bytes expandable to 12K bytes in three 4K selectable banks

Intellec 8:

5K memory expandable to 16K

Intellec MDS edit

  1. required a teletype or video terminal
  2. could also use floppies
  3. used an 8080
