Charlesxavier

edit

A defender of Gotem in the real world, Charlesxavier was called to arms twice by the pro-Gotem army of Wikipedia. He has seen two tours duty, first in the Speech campaign and now in the Belgium campaign. Charlesxavier is a decorated veteran of the Battles of Gotem. (See contributions)

The First Battle of Gotem

edit

Due to the lack of adequate firepower and size, the pro-Gotem forces were overrun in this 11-day battle. In retrospect, defending Gotem(speech) was a difficult task for the pro-Gotem forces due to the technical difficulties with its content. The AfD discussion quickly elevated into one of personal attacks, including the accusation of sockpuppeting.

The Second Battle of Gotem

edit

As a result of the deletion of the original Gotem article (which had 2 years of history) by Gurch, an attempt was made by pro-Gotem forces to re-establish a stronghold at the Gotem page to prevent further losses incurred approximately one year prior in The First Battle of Gotem. In a futile attempt by anti-Gotem forces, Fram hit Gotem with a speedy deletion and then beseiged it with AfD.

By the 3rd day of the AfD, the opposition forces led by Fram backed down, replaced by a certain Pan Gerwazy.

Comparison to The First Battle of Gotem

edit

The position of the pro-Gotem forces in Second Battle is stronger for the following reasons:

  • Legitimacy of the article subject
  • Size advantage
  • Support from administrators and veteran Wikipedians
