This user has a Bachelor's Degree in French, a Master's Degree in Computational Linguistics, and is certified to teach English as a Second Language.
This user loves learning about the nature of the universe. He is fascinated by physics, chemistry, geology, biology, physiology, and astronomy, to name a few. Sadly, he is mathematically challenged and forever barred from a deeper understanding of the physical universe because he just "doesn't get" calculus. He is not ashamed to love all things Star Trek, especially the Next Generation. This user thinks that life lived without laughter is a sin. He has been known to chase invisible cows.
When he's not trying to learn some new language, some of this user's favorite pasttimes are:
- building a world that works for everyone, with no one left out
- traveling - anywhere and whenever he can afford it, meeting old friends and making new ones.
- family history - tracing his family's roots
- reading - especially Science Fiction, especially from the 50's.
- watching movies with lots of explosions and bad guys coming to hideous ends.
- cooking and trying some new ethnic recipe
- eating odd foods like haggis, natto, huitlacoche, and other things that others would find revolting.
- gardening, growing his own food, and getting his hands covered with Mother Gaia
