Hello and welcome to my userpage.
My username is a take on the Latin expression "carpe diem" meaning "seize the day". Therefore, "carpe noctem" means "seize the night". I came up with the name several years ago, around 1995. It was fairly original then, but nowadays one can find the "carpe noctem" name used by many sources. The "x" is merely a spacer to separate the two words in the event that an underscore cannot be used, since I have adopted the name for use on many message boards I belong to as well. I am an avid television watcher so the majority of my wikipedia edits are for television shows. I watch mainly cartoons and anime and I also listen to a very diverse range of music.
