Was born on Thursday 14 May 1981 in Tigerberg Hospital Cape Town, South Africa.
Lived in Cape Town till 1991 then Moved to Mossel Bay. Studied in Point High School Mossel Bay.
Played South Western District (SWD) U/19 rugby in 1999, then of to Port Elizabeth (PE) in 2001 to play EP U/21 rugby. Ended his rugby career in 2006 with a club in a small farm town called Herbertsdale where they played in the Rugga league with South Western District (SWD). Carl has been in the oil and gas industry for many years, currently resident in Saudi Arabia.
