Each dicastery of the Roman Curia has juridic personality under canon law.[1] The dicasteries are equal juridically to each other.[2] Some dicasteries, which serve a dual function both as an administrative body of the Holy See and of Vatican City State, have dual juridical personality, civil and canonical, under the law of Vatican City and under Catholic canon law.
