Having spent the last one and a half decades online, I have learnt the value of online resources. Recently, I realised that for me to be able to expect valuable information when searching and reviewing this online content, I too need to add to those archives and repositories. Of course, this online experience has taught me not to share too much about me online.
Why Wiki edit
For some time the local media scene has been evolving into something that is self-serving and fails to address the public interest because of the relentless quest for the revenues generated by exposing that which is interesting to the public. The result is menial attention and value being given to serving public charters to keep the public duly informed.
Responding in blog format to untruths, opinion, conjecture or half baked journalism does nothing to assist in exposing the real story or contributing to the knowledge base of local matters.
