Brother Augustine is named after Augustine of Hippo. He took his brotherly name on the 4th September 2007 on entering Bath Monastery. Since then he has played a key role in the life of the monastery and has helped bring in many new members. He is likely to become the Abbot when Brother Cyprian passes to the next life.
Augustine has helped write the rule of the monastery and develop the cult(ure) of the kink-stick.
