Below is a list of characters in the Total Drama franchise. The franchise, consisting of four series, debuted it's titular series on Teletoon in Canada on July 8, 2007. The first introduces host Chris McLean, chef and co-host Chef Hatchet, and twenty-two contestants at island named Camp Wawanakwa to compete in the summer-camped reality television series Total Drama Island for the chance to win C$100,000. The second season, now titled Total Drama Action, saw fourteen contestants return to compete at an abandoned film lot to compete in movie themed challenges, with the prize increased to C$1,000,000. A fifteenth contestant would later return midway through the competition after suing the show for wrongful dismissal. Fifteen returned again to compete in the following season, Total Drama World Tour, this time joined by two new contestants, in a global competition with added musical challenges. A third new contestant later debuts mid-way through the competition after winning a challenge during the Aftermath show.
The fourth season, Total Drama: Revenge of the Island would see an entirely new cast of thirteen contestants returning to compete at the original island, which is now covered in toxic waste. Despite this, the island is free of the waste in Total Drama All-Stars, the first half of the fifth season, which saw fourteen contestants from all previous seasons return to the island to compete in a heroes vs. villains themed competition. The second half of the season, Total Drama: Pahkitew Island, saw another fourteen new contestants on a new island after Wawanakwa sank.
The series was followed by a spin-off airing on Cartoon Network in Canada on January 4, 2016. The series follows a new host, Don, and the thirty-two new contestants, as well as four returning from the original series, of The Ridonculous Race. The race consists of teams of two competing in a twenty-six leg race around the globe, with the winning team winning C$1,000,000. A second spin-off, titled Total DramaRama, would later air on Teletoon in Canada on October 7, 2018. Consisting of three seasons and set in an alternate universe, the series follows toddler versions of eleven of the original twenty-two contestants, as well as Jude from 6teen, as students at the Happy Tots Daycare Centre run by Chef. Two more students, one from the fourth and fifth seasons of the original series, would later join the class in the third season.
A revival of the original series would later premiere on Cartoon Network in Canada on October 21, 2023. Titled Total Drama Island after the first season of the original series, it sees Chris and Chef return to their original roles on a new island modeled after the original. They're joined by sixteen new contestants, who compete for the chance to win C$1,000,000. The second half of the season sees all sixteen contestant return to compete a second time.
