Notes

I am a lawyer, librarian, and educator. As a professor in the library at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky, ensuring accurate and readily-accessible knowledge is part of my job. That is why I think Wikipedia is such an important project.

About Me edit

I am a 1990 graduate of the University of Toledo College of Law. Before that, I earned my B.A. in Economics at Adrian College in Adrian, Michigan. I also have an A.A. from [Ferris State University]] in Big Rapids, Michigan, where my parents were faculty members. I passed the bar exams in Ohio (1990) and Kentucky (1991).

After a short time practicing law, I returned to school for a Master's degree in library science, graduating in 1993 from what is now known as the University of Michigan School of Information. My career has taken me to the New York Public Library, the Guam Territorial Law Library, Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, and in 1999 to Western Kentucky University. In 2006, I enrolled in a doctoral program at Peabody College of Education and Human Development at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. In 2009, I earned my Doctor of Education in Higher Education Leadership and Policy. My project was entitled Career Trajectories and Outcomes of Ph.D. Recipients From the Vanderbilt University College of Arts & Sciences.

From 1999 to 2011, I was the Coordinator of Reference and Instruction at WKU. I was promoted to the rank of Professor in 2010. Since 2011, I have been the Coordinator for Research Instruction, Grants, and Assessment.
