Nicolas Alexei Shaffer (born April 1, 1999), is a musical prodigy by the name "Andromida". Nick was born in Chișinău, Moldova to his unknown mother who put him up for adoption a few months after birth. In 2000, Nick was adopted by his American parents Michele (an accountant) and Steve (a United States Navy veteran). He currently lives in Boonsboro, Maryland. He was first introduced to electronic music through Youtube listening to Skream and Benga. His first influences were bands and artists like From First To Last, Twipz, and Mr. Oizo
Early Childhood edit
Nick grew up with computers and technology, At age 3 he got his first computer that his father had built for him. He received his first keyboard at age 5 and began learning but soon lost interest. Nick grew up in Boonsboro going to multiple private schools including Grace Academy, Hagerstown Maryland and Broadfording Christian Academy. After 6th grade, Nick's parents home schooled him. (He is currently home schooled)
Social Disruption edit
Growing up in Boonsboro, a small, country like town, Nick was primarily exposed to country or Christian music. At age 6 Nick had found a CD in his cousins room titled "Dear Diary my Teen Angst has a Body Count and heard the song "Note to Self" by From First to Last. In 2008 Nick had followed lead singer Sonny Moore (Skrillex) through the internet and listed to varieties of Electronic/Dance music including artists like Mr. Oizo, Skream, 12th Planet, Benga, and many more. In 2009 during Sonny Moore's announcement as Skrillex Nick learned more about he genre and became an instant fan. At age 12, Nick had finally reached out to many people, spreading the word of Electronic music but no one seemed to be interested. People like Rekoil are the only influences that lived within Maryland

In 2015 Nick vowed to release an entire EP titled "Monitored" which features 6 tracks under the alias "Andromida".
