Dr. Uli Kozok (Hildesheim, Lower Saxony, Germany, 1959-05-12) is a linguist specializing in languages of Indonesia, including Indonesian and Batak. He received his M.A. in 1989 and his Ph.D. in 1994 from the University of Hamburg. He is currently Associate Professor in the Department of Hawaiian and Indo-Pacific Languages and Literatures at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.

Biography edit

Uli Kozok was born in Hildesheim and educated in the city of Norden, in the state of Lower Saxony, to the west near the North Sea. Kozok is married to a Malay woman and has two children.
