Barristerdog is the nick name and pen name of Tracy Sweeny. Tracy was born in Thirroul, Wollongong New South Walles.Tracy is a law librarian, law lecturer and lawyer admitted to practice as a barrister and solicitor in New South Wales, Australia. Tracy has worked as a librarian both in Australia and overseas. Most notably the University of Wollongong Library and Law Library, with a number of exchange postings overseas. Tracy has taught law at the University of Wollongong Faculty of Law and the University of Technology Faculty of Law. Tracy is a Research Associate of the Cyberspace Law and Policy Centre at the University of New South Wales. A centre of study and research concentrating on networked transactions. Tracy specialises in Intellectual Property, Brand Licensing (Brandsworth Licensing) and Commercial law. In 2012 she set up her own legal practice, Sweeny Legal www.sweenylegal.com.au specialising in intellectual property and commercial law located in Wollongong and servicing the Illawarra, South Coast and Southern Highlands. Tracy has a special interest in Disability law and offers free legal advice and assistance to people with disabilities and their carers. Tracy has two Master of Law degrees in Intellectual Property and Commercial law from the universities of Sydney and Oxford.
