Barangay Sto. Domingo is the third largest barangay in the Municipality of Cainta with total land area of 1,021.29 hectares. The barangay jurisdiction is subdivided into seven (7) zones with a total population of 53,652 and total household of 12,117. It is bounded by Barangay San Isidro in the North, Baragay San Andres in the South, Barangay San Juan in the Northeast portion and Barangay Sto. Niño and Sta. Rosa in the east.
It is predominantly classified as an urban area. Besides having 20 subdivisions, 19 private and public schools, 16 banks and 8 manufactures.
The current Punong Barangay is Janice Gomez Tacsagon.

In 1933, Barangay Sto. Domingo was known as Barrio Dayap, where the first Tiniente del Barrio was appointed by the Municipal President. Upon the enactment of Barrio Charter in 1950, the position of Barrio Lieutenant was changed to Barrio Captain. It was then that Barangay Sto. Domingo was named separately from Barrion Dayap. The new set of officers was elected in May 16, 1982 where Gregorio Cruz became the first Barangay Captain from 1986 to 1989. Exequiel Cruz was appointed Barangay Captain, followed by Atty. Jules Narag who was elected in 1989. As the former ran and won in 1991 as Municipal Councilor, Remy Fajardo was consequently appointed as acting Barangay Captain who manages the unexpired term of the predecessor. From 1994 to 2002, Mariano Urbano became Barangay Captain and he was succeeded by Wilfredo F. Sulit. In 2013, Rufina A. Sulit succeeded her husband by winning the election. After four (4) months of office as Punong Barangay, the most loved and well-respected official passed away and was succeeded by Janice Gomez Tacsagon.

Barangay Sto. Domingo is the third largest barangay in the Municipality of Cainta with total land area of 1,021.29 hectares. The barangay jurisdiction is subdivided into seven (7) zones with a total population of 53,652 and total household of 12,117. It is bounded by Barangay San Isidro in the North, Baragay San Andres in the South, Barangay San Juan in the Northeast portion and Barangay Sto. Niño and Sta. Rosa in the east. This contributes to the rapid influx of immigrants from different provinces and from Metro Manila as well, who find the confines of the municipality as very strategic and convenient aside from being the commercial district of Cainta. The annual income is P 30,712,805.23 with a total number of 25,326 registered voters and 115 precincts.
It is predominantly classified as an urban area. Besides having 20 subdivisions, 19 private and public schools, 16 banks and 8 manufacturers. The barangay is also host to prominent establishments such as SM Hypermarket, Puregold and Robinsons Place where the first BPO company in the municipality TELETech is operating. The demands for employment is steadily increasing because of the new businesses opening in the area that pushes the economic stability of the barangay to further grow.

Barangay Sto. Domingo to be the number 1 Barangay in the town of Cainta and in the province of Rizal. To be know for its progressiveness, sustainable development, and ecologically-balanced environment where its community members works for the common objectives and aspiration.

Shape
The outer border is round, which means bond of oneness and compactness of Barangay Officials and members creating a strong foundation for each and every resident of the barangay to be part of a strong, aggressive and progressive people of Sto. Domingo. The round shape signifies movement leading the constituents to work hard to self-supporting in order for every one to create an independent Barangay.
The inner portion of the circle is a shield-shape silhouette resembling a knight's shield. The shield shape signifies protection from natural disasters, storms, floods, earthquakes and other man-made calamities such as oppression, robbery and the other criminal elements in the society specially drug addiction. The described shape also signifies love and care from a mother embracing her children with tender, love and care. This is by providing food, medicine and employment to the depressed area in order to uplift their morals and instill dignity.
Symbol
The shield shore is divided into four main components:
Upper Left Segment - This segment shows picture of a factory, school and a church. Barangay Sto. Domingo symbolizes the industrialized nature of the barangay in which a community was built from commerce and trade. The image of the school and church emphasizes the existence of a number of educational institutions in the barangay and the church signifies the faith of the people of Sto. Domingo.
Lower Left Segment - The picture in this segment shows pigs or livestock. During the early days, most of the residents of the barangay are piggery owners, which at one time defined the barangay as lechon capital of Cainta because of the number of people from nearby barangays and municipalities buying lechon in Sto. Domingo hog growers. In today's modern age, the lechon, tradition is only apparent in some of the residents, but it is no longer as popular as it was before.
Upper Right Segment - This section of the logo encompasses the symbols of justice. This signifies fairness and swiftness in serving and handling locally adjudicated cases from erring couples to neighbors' disputes, oral defamation, public scandal to petty crimes. The proof of the barangay's strong justice system is the three consecutive years of winning the competition for the Most Outstanding Lupon Tagapamayapa in the municipality from 2004-2006. The barangay Lupon also bagged the same achievement in the regional level competition in 2005 and 2006. In addition, our barangay Lupon also became a national finalist in 2006. These achievements are proof of the outstanding performance in elevating the dignity in the municipality of Cainta.
Upper Right Segment - This section shows suman, which is the stable product of Cainta and in Barangay Sto. Domingo, the old tradition of rice-cake making is still very much alive and such tradition gave fame to the town of Cainta. People from far - away towns flock to our barangay to savor the famous latik and bibinka cooked and sold by several residents of Sto. Domingo and among the best names in this business is "Aling Kika's". Wholesale traders of the rice and coconut based sweets flock from various places flock to our town, which fuels the continuous growth of the suman, bibingka, latik industry in the town of Cainta and most specially in barangay Sto. Domingo.
Three Gold Stars and the Sun - These symbols are inherent of the Philippine National flag, which the symbolic meaning encompasses the same as that of the national flag. In a more metaphoric allegory, the stars are what represents the bright future of the Barangay along with radiance of the sun that brings new hope and new beginnings and new life.
Color - The barangay emblem shows combinations of yellow, green, red, blue and gold which was fashioned from our very own Philippine flag except for the green color, which is the color identity adopted by the barangay.
