Balraj Nune was born in Hyderabad to Nune Komaraiah and Nune Andalu (alias Urmila)..He comes from a humble middle class family.He started social service activities at the age of 9 as a swayamsevak with the worlds largest voluntary service organization - Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
He is married to Bharathi Kalavagunta, Master of Business Administration ,Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws who hails from Tirupati,Chittoor district,Andhra Pradesh..He has two daughters Medha and Hayana..
