Meritxell Huch is a stem cell scientist. Huch is a Junior Group Leader of Stem Cells and tissue regeneration at the University of Cambridge.[1]

Research edit

Huch has so far authored 28 articles, in disciplines including stem cells, organoids, and cancer.[2]

Awards and honours edit

In 2013 Huch won the NC3Rs award for her work on organoids, which involved developing a system to grow adult mouse stem cells that developed into three-dimensional fully-functioning liver models.[3]

In 2015 Huch won the Hamdan Award for Medical Research Excellence for her work on liver disorders.[4]

In 2018 she was the winner of the Women in Cell Biology Early Career Award Medal.[5]
