Areala is a resident of the USA, an avid video game buff, and a collector of old-school consoles, games, magazines and other ephemera. Her love of gaming drove her to serve as both a staff writer and editor for a video game website which is currently in limbo, and she has now chosen Wikipedia as a new outlet for her creative juices. Her username comes from the title character in the Warrior Nun Areala comic series from Antarctic Press.
She attended college in the state of Indiana, where she majored in English with a minor in Creative Writing and currently works at a bookstore.
