Edit this section to compile the bibliography for your Wikipedia assignment. Add the name and/or notes about what each source covers, then use the "Cite" button to generate the citation for that source.

  • Norem, classifying fossil spores. This is a peer reviewed scientific journal. It gives some information on the different ways spores can be classified as well as information about spore history, this could be interesting to add to the article. [1]
  • This is a peer reviewed article so it should be a reliable source. It gives more information on fossil spores and how they have been used in paleontology. Also gives some information about classifications. Although heavily focuses on fossilized fungi as opposed to fossilized spores. [2]
  • Another peer reviewed article so again should be reliable. Gives a specific example that is relatively recent about how fossilized spores have been used to identify the date of fossil records and its connection to land plants. Also begins to give information about why spores may have been created as an adaptation. [3]
  • This article peer reviewed so it should be a reliable source. It gives information about trilete spores which the article had stated needed better citation. This will be really helpful! [4]

Outline of proposed changes edit

Through my research I found that there is a lack of information on the wiki article about how spores can be used to indicated age of various fossils. In addition, they have also been used to track when various plant species have evolved. There is not another wikipedia page dedicated to this process and I think it would a good addition to Spores article. In addition I have found a couple sources to support other claims made on the wiki article that have not been cited.
