Alfonso Maribona
Alfonso Maribona is a spanish conductor, pianist, composer and arranger . Born in Bilbao, finished his career in piano and chamber music at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid won the First Prize Superior Race Weekend unanimously. In 1982 he won second prize at the National Piano Competition . In 1985 he was awarded the First Prize in this Contest. In 1991 won first prize in the National Chamber Music Competition "Ciudad de Manresa " , and that same year he won the jury unanimously , the First Prize in the National Music Competition for Young Musicians Chamber of Spain .
Based on a solid academic theory and a wealth of experience as soloist and orchestral musician, he has maintained an ongoing research and analysis of the repertoire and the art of conducting and band throughout his professional life doing their Analysis studies , musicology , and Conductor , Symphonic Band, and Chorus with internationally renowned teachers . After participating with great success in two consecutive courses International University Menéndez Pelayo in Santander, debuts at the Philharmonic Society of Bilbao in 1982. Later he moved to Vienna where he expands his musical studies at the Hochschule für Musik and Performing Arts .
Since then his solo career has run parallel to his collaboration with many of the major European orchestras as the National Orchestra of Spain , Berliner Philharmoniker / Deutsche Oper Berlin, Extremadura Orchestra , Orchestra and Youth Orchestra of Madrid , JONDE , Madrid Symphony Orchestra , European Youth orchestra, orchestra School of the Teatro Real de Madrid , Coro Euskeria , Excelentia orchestra , Orquesta Sinfónica de Bilbao , Oporto Symphony Orchestra , Galicia Symphony orchestra Academy of the University of Zaragoza, Beethoven Philharmonic orchestra WYD Choir Carlos III University , Madrid Ensemble , Early Rafelbunyol , Choral Society of Bilbao, Madrid Municipal Symphonic Band , Firgas Ensemble, National Youth Orchestra of the Netherlands, Group Pro - Chamber , Madrid Trio , Trio BOS , Spanish Chamber orchestra , Bucharest Philharmonic orchestra , Kantorei Coral , Brasov Philharmonic orchestra , Symphony Orchestra of Cluj- Napoca, Macedonia Chamber Orchestra , orchestra and Chorus of Spanish Radio Television , among others. Besides having given concerts in almost all of the Spanish capital , its activity as a soloist , arranger, and improviser has spread to recitals and recordings touring which led to countries like Germany, Italy , Romania , Austria , Montenegro , Serbia Republic of Macedonia , Ireland, France , Colombia , United States , and Japan. He has been invited as a soloist and collaborator in numerous festivals and international congresses Music , acting , directing , premiering and recording in many of the major Theatres & Concert Halls in the international arena . He has made records of the most varied styles to Spanish TV, Antena 3, National Radio of Spain ( Classical ), Portland Recording Studio , Euskal Telebista , TV3 in Catalonia, National Radio of Romania , Italian Broadcasting , Broadcasting Macedonia, National Radio the Czech Republic, First Channel Television Serbia , and the most important stations in Ireland, Colombia , and Japan.
He is frequently invited to give lectures and chairing or serving on the jury of relevant music competitions . Criticism has always been unanimous regarding the artistic excellence of their performances .
He is currently Music Director of the Municipal Music Band of Las Palmas De Gran Canaria.
