With a background in Human Factors and Ergonomics via my Health Science (Occupational Therapy) and Education studies, I've been navigating the domain of Human Computer Interaction, User-centered design and social computing formally since the early 90's. During this time, I've employed concepts like Communities of Practice and Networks of Practice (since the mid 90's with vbscript and BBS) in Project Management implementations and seen the benefit of these approaches first hand in connecting up health practitioners to develop better interventions, share knowledge and reduce professional isolation for those working in small communities.

As a Commons of intellectual exchange, I use Wikipedia daily and contribute where time permits, or where I see a gap in interconnects.
