I am rather eclectic in my interests. I see myself as a disability rights activist and am currently writing a book on unseen disabilities. I also teach courses and offer seminars on the subject. I am employed as a Case Manager working with ex-offenders--many of whom have hidden disaibilities--to help them become effective jobseekers. I consider myself a spiritual seeker who has explored many spiritual traditions, but I no longer attend any church. I came out of a Roman Catholic tradition that is very strongly oriented to social justice issues like environmentalism and a pro-active preference for those who are poor.

My good husband of 31 years died. Seven years later, I married another man who walked out on me after 3.5 years. I now seek socialization in discussion groups.
