Tobias M. Tiangco (born November 21, 1967) is a Filipino politician and the Campaign Manager of United Nationalist Alliance. He is a member of the House of Representative representing the Lone District of Navotas.

Mayor of Navotas

First term (1998-1999)

Tiangco first sat as the vice-mayor of Navotas in early 1998. In June 30, 1998, Tiangco seated as the Mayor due to electoral protest to Cipriano Bautista and seated as the Vice Mayor again in February 1, 1999.

Second Term (2000-2001)

In May 12, 2000, Cipriano Bautista died, resulting in Tiangco becoming the incumbent mayor until June 30, 2001.

Third Term (2001-2004)

Tiangco ran for re-election with his running-mate Lutgardo Cruz but Patrick Joseph Javier (Ind.) won the Vice-mayoral seat.In 2004, Navotas was awarded as the Cleanest Municipality of NCR. Tiangco

Fourth Term (2004-2007)

Tiangco was still the mayor of Navotas from 2004 to 2007. He focused on the issues of garbage, and the beatification of Navotas City Hall, many were amazed by the new and improved City Hall.

Fifth Term and Last Term (2007-2010)

In 2007, Navotas become a city, resulting in Tiangco becoming the first City Mayor. John Rey Tiangco, his brother replaced him as the City Mayor in 2010 elections.

First Term (2010-present)

He gave 900 scholarships to the Navotenos on his first term, Navotenos is free from the Major Hospitals in Manila because of his Medical Assistance Ordinance of Navotas. And built many houses for free in Tanza, Navotas.

Running for re-election 2013

Tiangco joined United Nationalist Alliance facing the new name in Politics , Icoy de Guzman, the former city councilor.

Campaign Manager of UNA

When Tiangco joined UNA. former president of the Philippines, Joseph Estrada, promoted him to Campaign Manager. The administrative coalition Team PNoy said that they will have 12-0 win for the senate. Tiangco said that the coalition buys vote and will use dirty campaigning for their aim.

Early life

Tiangco was born in a medium family on November 21, 1967 in Manila, His parents was Restituto B. Tiangco and Erlinda M. Tiangco. Tiangco helped his parents by working at the early age with his brother John Rey Tiangco, the incumbent mayor of Navotas City.

Education

Tiangco studied Elementary and High School at the Xavier School, He finished Bachelor of Science in Management at Ateneo de Manila University.

Employment History

He worked as the Assistant Operation Manager at the Engineering & Maintenance Department of Trans-Pacific Journey Fishing Corporation from 1991 to 1994[1] and was promoted as the General Manager in 1994 and Executive Vice-President in 1996. Tiangco also worked as the Chief Executive Officer at the Pacific Tomich Corporation.
