Tiruppur taluk

Tiruppur taluk is a taluk of Tirupur district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The headquarters is the town of Tiruppur.

Population

According to the 2001 census, the taluk of Tiruppur had a population of 677,978 with 351,911 males and 326,069 females. There were 927 women for every 1000 men. The taluk had a literacy rate of 78.07. The total number of households was 175,891.
