The Moon Upside Down is a 1942 Australian radio play by Catherine Duncan.[1] Duncan starred in the original production.[2]
The play was popular and was performed again in 1945[3] and 1946.[4]

"The story concerns a group of people chasing, losing and finding happiness in a doubtful world. Laurel, the woman of the world, with her politics and lovers; David, degenerate himself but embittered because he insists on placing the woman he loves on an impossible sentimental pedestal, so wrecking life for both of them; Hans, the Czech refugee with his sad background; Steve, whose wants are simple, and finds satisfaction in the running of a hamburger joint; and Mac and Anne, stable people able to find happiness in content, not seeking it on a peak from which the climber must fall into equally deep abysses of depression these are the main characters."[5]
