Troubleshooting edit

This seems to be incompatible with the Beta Feature for VisualEditor's new wikitext mode. The main symptom of the problem is that when you edit the page using this button, you will see a huge amount of raw HTML, beginning with <!DOCTYPE html>.

If you are running into problems, then go to Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-betafeatures and turn off "New wikitext mode". Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 17:34, 29 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Grammar request edit

Hi all

I'd like to request a grammar change for the template text, currently it says 'Edit with the visual editor', can I request its changed to 'Edit with VisualEditor'? The tool is called VisualEditor (all one word), also I think its better grammar to remove 'the'. If all one word is not liked, can it at least be capitalised since its the name of a tool.

Thanks

Another suggestion edit

Hi all

One other suggestion would be to add the white VE pencil icon (right, sorry its hard to see) in the template to help recognition of the tool, the license of the .svg image does not require attribution so clicking on the icon could also go the the same link.

Thanks

I think this is possible by using {{Branded Button}} (as far as I'm concerned, {{Clickable button 2}} doesn't accept files). I just tweaked {{Branded Button}} so that it can accept classes (like {{Clickable button 2}}). I'm personally neutral on this. While it can be a nice design, I think the current version is fine. Nonetheless I created a demo here. Ahmadtalk 04:07, 24 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hide template for print media edit

Can you add styles to hide this template during print? You can target print with a media query: @media print {}. Jroberson108 (talk) 23:42, 13 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
