- According to the Oxford Dictionary of English, the plural may be "trout" or "trouts", although I have to confess I've never heard the latter - it sounds like a schoolboy error, lol. However, I suspect the reason for the name here is that there is already a (rather facile) template already called Template:Trout, so we can't use that unless we go through a rigmarole. We could try something like "Template:Trout species" or "Template:Species of trout" though, which would be a little more descriptive. --Bermicourt (talk) 19:12, 1 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
