Use of superfamilies edit

In Lepidoptera, it is a general consensus to use superfamilies instead of suborders. Butterflies should be included in the superfamily Papilionoidea, to include families of Papilionidae, Pieridae, Nymphalidae, Lycaenidae, Riodinidae, Hesperiidae, and Hedylidae according to van Nieukerken et al., 2011. The term Rhopalocera should not be used any longer, as it is old fashioned and does not have any position as a clade (Lamas, pers. comm.) Kupu2indonesia (talk) 12:04, 31 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
