Link to "Space Launches of 2006" edit

Do you really want to have a link called "Space Launches of 2006" that shows up on all the non-2006 pages of "List of spaceflights"? I realize that currently the link takes you to the list of 2006 launches, but that will change (I presume) come January 1, 2007. Archives of prior years launches are available (although not in the nice table format as for the current year) so the site clearly doesn't just cover 2006. I'd suggest the link be called something like "Orbital Report News Agency's Launch Logs" (since that it the title of their page as shown by my browser). I'll leave this up to you since you seem to have an idea of how you want these pages to develop. ThreeBlindMice 19:13, 18 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, I'd just discovered that myself and was about to change it. Feel free to change anything you like by the way, that is what Wikipedia is all about. --GW_SimulationsUser Page | Talk 19:16, 18 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
Usually I dive right in, but since I knew that you were working on these pages I didn't want to get in the middle of anything you were working on. Thanks for making the change. By the way, I think you are doing really great work in the spaceflight area. ThreeBlindMice 18:27, 19 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Trim to primary references only? edit

Presumably, this list of references are generic primaries for otherwise unreferenced items in the "Year in spaceflight" lists. Shouldn't we remove secondary sources from the list? For example, Spaceflight Now's launch schedule and news just aggregates from other sources. (I ask because an edit based on Spaceflight Now was immediately and correctly reverted.) --IanOsgood (talk) 16:38, 1 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Bad Reference edit

The Launch Forecast reference (Space.com) is from 2010, and Space.com doesn't seem to maintain a regular forecast anymore based on my searching of their site. Should we get rid of this reference? Andrewpullin (talk) 07:22, 19 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Usage guidance? edit

How is this template meant to be used? It just sprays some reference declarations and external links. Some articles seem to use it for a "references" section, though they don't use it for foot notes. (Is that true about *all* usage?) Other articles use it as "external links". Couldn't its usage be made more consistent? should the {{cite}} templates used here be marked |ref=none since the references aren't actually used? -- Mikeblas (talk) 16:48, 14 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Remove Portal edit

The following should be removed:
Generic references: {{navbar|TLS-R|plain=1}}
{{Portal-inline|Spaceflight}}
The editor can add the portal if desired. "List of spaceflight launches in July–December 2022" has two instances of the portal. If I remove the portal from the article, how do I know it won't be removed from this template?
