Edit request March 25 2024 (HS2) edit
Hi there, was wondering if you could edit the template to add the following:
| hs2 =[[File:HS2 generic symbol.svg|{{{size|25}}}px|link={{{link|High Speed 2}}}|alt={{{alt|{{{link|High Speed 2}}}}}}]]
Could you also add the same under the section for 'gb' (I believe it should go just below 'glasgow', assuming it's in alphabetical order).
I've run the test cases and they look fine.
{{Rail-interchange/sandbox|hs2}}
(→Add→{{rail-interchange}})
{{Rail-interchange/sandbox|gb|hs2}}
Thanks in advance. Oldhamtw (talk) 13:01, 25 March 2024 (UTC)
- I assume you're wanting this to show a service? There is none at the moment that I am aware of. These icons usually show indications of service providers, not the infrastructure over which they operate their services. As HS2 is yet to be completed, there is, as yet, no service provider. Another example is the Elizabeth line: as a service, it has an icon ( ), but the Crossrail infrastructure over which it runs does not. Bazza 7 (talk) 19:56, 25 March 2024 (UTC)
- The service (not yet started) also goes by the name HS2, unlike the Elizabeth Line/Crossrail distinction. They might well rename the service at a later date, but currently the service and the infrastructure share the name 'HS2'. The confusion is understandable given the uncertainty over how the service will actually run.[1] Oldhamtw (talk) 15:05, 27 March 2024 (UTC)
- Any update on this? The icon would be helpful in routemaps showing what's under construction in certain areas (for example, in the West Midlands, there's a metro line under construction where certain stops will interchange with standard rail (with and ), some with a bus interchange (with ), etc. For clarity and consistency's sake, it would really help to have the icon as well. Hello, just adding a new train line in Sydney for changes due to the extension of Sydney Metro, and adding a light rail line opening in May.

- @Purin128AL this looks fine, but a question--Sydney Trains and Sydney Light Rail have actual SVG icons. Would it be better to use those instead of the generic colored boxes? Mackensen (talk) 12:02, 30 April 2024 (UTC)
- Yes I think so as well. Let me update that and test it again Purin128AL (talk) 12:05, 30 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Mackensen Just updated to use SVG icons. Also added ferry icons. New diff is here: Special:Diff/1221019281/1221520575, updated visual test cases as well. Purin128AL (talk) 12:33, 30 April 2024 (UTC)
