Ragging in IIT edit

Why was the link to Ragging in IIT deleted?

The ragging link was deleted because it redirected to Ragging, a general article, not one specific to the IITs. Additionally, the article is clearly of poor quality, and the word ragging is not very strongly linked to IITs so as to deserve a place on the IIT template banner. --KeynesJohnMaynard 22:44, 8 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

How is this template to be edited? An addition is to be made in one of the categories. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dhruvchokshi (talkcontribs) 19:00, 6 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

New and Old edit

Do we need to keep it separate new and old ? --naveenpf (talk) 06:13, 1 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Was the act passed? If not, the "old" ones (correct name is probably "amendment") are not IITs at all by law.--Muhandes (talk) 08:11, 1 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Distinction between old/new IITs, redux edit

I am not sure we need to keep the distinction in this template. I actually don't even think sorting by year of establishment is a good idea. A navbox is used for navigation, maybe alphabetically is the best for navigation? Thoughts? --Muhandes (talk) 07:35, 25 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
