- A key for difference between squares and circles? And turn the "period" name black (like the artist name, when listed as one of the four) when a user clicks on a data point? czar 15:49, 20 April 2016 (UTC)
- There is now a shape legend. I am not sure it makes sense to turn the "period" name black like the artist name on click because the current highlight level indicates a trend of all currently visible points (e.g. selecting the artist highlights all their points, and selecting the period highlights all the ones from that period), so it could cause some confusion for the period to be highlighted in this case. Furthermore, there are some artists (e.g. Picasso and Cézanne) that have paintings from multiple periods. ~ Jhoffswell (talk) 21:37, 7 May 2016 (UTC)
2017 Addition edit
I have added all of the paintings on the main list (from after 2015) that weren't on the graph. This is my first time working with Vega, and pretty much my first major edit, so please tell me if there are any errors or issues (or if you have any general feedback). I'm going to go ahead and remove the update template. There is a strange bug in Firefox 57 that hides a bunch of data points in the middle of the y-axis, but it's not an issue with what I added (it was there before), and it's only reproducible on Firefox.
