Template talk:Editnotices/Page/Leslie Feinberg

Raison d'etre edit

The reason for this Edit filter is unending disruption of pronouns, both well-meaning, and not, at Leslie Feinberg, and exasperated editors at the end of their rope trying to deal with it. See five or six discussions at Talk:Leslie Feinberg about this. Thanks, Mathglot (talk) 02:52, 11 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

To fix lint errors, please replace the wikitext with this:

<div style="border:6px double #C70039;margin: 2em 4em;padding:0.5em">

<div style="border:thick double #C70039;margin:0.6em;padding:1em">
<div style="text-align: center;"><big><big>Please do not change any pronouns in this article.</big></big></div>

<div style="font-size:larger">Do not change any of the pronouns in this article, without first discussing it at the talk page. There is consensus that the article should use pronouns she / her / hers, in accordance with MOS:GENDERID and Leslie Feinberg's own wishes. This has been discussed numerous times on the Talk page, for example, here.

You can read Feinberg's own words on this issue, in section Pronoun usage in the article itself.

Intentional vandalism of the article will result in warnings on your User talk page; repeated disruption may lead to a loss of editing privileges. Thank you.

@Anomalocaris:, is there a log somewhere for linter checks, and can you link me to the run or test that discovered this? Also: if there's a pointer to a regex list or other set of rules it uses to discover them, can you point me to it? That will enable me to avoid any such problems in the future. Thanks, Mathglot (talk) 21:54, 3 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
Mathglot: The main page for lint errors is Lint errors. Note that the counts are approximate; don't be annoyed if it says there are 66 self-closed tags and when you click the link you find the true number is 1. For more info on the de-linting project, see WP:Linter. If you want to work on this project, I strongly encourage you to install lintHint as described on that page. In fact, it's worth installing lintHint if you just want to make sure you don't add any new lint to existing articles, even if you don't plan to edit articles for the purpose of removing lint. For the exact counts of each type of lint error in each namespace, see Outstanding linter errors on enwiki, which is updated a bit more than once an hour, I believe.
