Hook phrasing

Since the modifications are now noted here, I'm note sure whether to have this discussion here or at DYK talk. Either way, @AirshipJungleman29: the modification(s) are both inaccurate and would make the hook substantially less interesting. A player makes a World Cup appearance every match they play; three World Cup matches in twelve months is just they showed up for the first round. And Clegg already made more than three appearances in the first of her three World Cups. Perhaps "...Clegg [making appearances/appearing] at three FIFA World Cups in under twelve months led to..." or something, since I'm guessing the longer second clause was the reason for change.
